• DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication) in Radiography

The technological revolution brought us the facility to transfer x-ray images seamlessly to one or more viewing systems with the aid of DICOM networks. DICOM networks operate as an intermediary communication channel between the imaging modality and the viewer. It also allows the user to retrieve any previous x-ray images from PACS server for reporting. DICOM networks act as a bridge to connect patient registry, radiography modality, storage server and the viewer. It provides enhanced flexibility to the user to receive/ send images from and to remote modalities and facilities. DICOM viewer is a tool used to view images from the server through a URL.

  • Role of PACS and RIS

PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) is an image archive where the exposed X-Ray images are to be transferred and stored via DICOM network. PACS servers allow the users to store, review and manipulate the images for improved diagnosis. RIS (Radiology Information Systems) is a Radiology Management tool that comprises patient registry, appointment scheduler, billing, and report dissemination. When a new patient is registered on RIS, a new folder is created in the PACS to store the patient’s data. It helps to compare a patient’s past images to determine an observation. Combination of both features provide extensive support in streamlining the reporting process and faster report delivery

  • Mobile Services for Convenience:

Mobile Radiography is any modality that offers X-Ray based imaging at the patient’s convenience which means the immobile patients can be exposed to x-ray while lying on the bed or wheelchair. Resident Aged Care Facility is our prime focus as residents with multiple disabilities or mobility issues require additional support. They tend to have frequent falls and unforeseen injuries that require urgent attention, especially head and hip injuries. Clinical staff members, RACF management and the Next-of-kins of the patients face difficulties in conducting out of facility x-ray examinations. Mobile X-ray facilities come in handy to provide in-house examinations to relieve everyone out of stress.

  • Bedside Imaging:

Once we receive your call, we will book you in for an appointment and one of our experienced radiographers will visit your site with our state-of-the-art mobile x-ray machine and position next to the patient bed. The detector plate is placed under the patient if the patient is immobile without creating any discomfort for the patient. X-ray machine will be focused on the requested region and exposed. Once the exposure is completed the detector will be removed and simultaneously the exposed images would be transferred to our facility with the aid of advanced Digital Radiography technology for reporting. We respect patients' disabilities and convenience, and we provide services to match their expectation.

  • Expanding Services:

In our pursuit of comprehensive healthcare, we are excited to announce that we will soon be introducing additional services, including CT scans. This expansion will further enhance our ability to provide accurate and detailed imaging for a wide range of medical conditions.
